Update, I do't know how much longer Guitar center is hosting the pro tools 10 classes on Saturdays, or if it is still available, but I'm pretty sure they have some type of free resource going on every week, Guitar Center is just a great place for any musician to be, purchase, or even just to hang out an test everything you want. I remember before I had everything I needed, i used to go there, just to make my music, and anything I made, i would make sure I saved it on whatever necessary memory card or etc, that I needed.

One thing that's good to have, that would be great to obtain taking MPBS, is becoming officially certified for Pro Tools 10, and Logic Pro 9. It would be great If Full Sail added that to our Degree.
I'm providing a link to avid where you can inquire about getting certified. I will also come back with the link for Logic Pro 9, another thing I know is, that it's going to be costly for those as well. Being said, this's one good reason to set yourself aside from every other producer out there, achieving that may land you that major position everyone wants, without having the certification.

You can get certified for pro tools through Full Sail, but that's available for Campus students only. You can also get certified if your an online student, but you have to make arrangements to get your certifications at the campus itself, which will probably cost extra. Don't feel left out though, you can still get certified, just about every state has many official certification programs for both Pro tools and Logic Pro, just google your way to those links is all you have to really do, but make sure your finding reliable official resources. P.e.a.c.e

Music Radar is one of the most reliable review websites out there, synthopia is not bad either.

Download BPM Counter Widget for Mac free. Measure BPM (Beats Per Minute) and taps - widget. Its very helpful to find the BPM/Tempo of any song you want, by tapping it out. Logic's built in auto BPM detector is not accurate most of the time, the best way to find the tempo of any song to me is to tap the BPM out yourself.

This goes with the tutorial I posted before this one, about chopping samples, each video has what each other's missing, they go great together. I do serious research for everything I do, and I don't mind sharing the knowledge one bit.

This nice young gentleman shared the easiest way to chop your samples on Logic Pro 9, this will definitely take your music making to another level, just remember not to keep any sample at face value, make it an art, and slice the sample like a samurai.

I recommend warbeats tutorials for many basics. FL studio is no different then any other. They're all the same.

For you Serious Diggers, find many pack to all the MPC's, many Roland Keyboards, and samplers. A great free resource from overseas.

Like Pro Tools, online MPBS students, will have to find certification outside of Full Sail, unless they offer the certification through the campus programs.
