Templates for planning iMovie trailers

I think this is where we got our reading practice pages for the APTT meeting last year. I didn't realize they had a spelling curriculum that goes alone with the reading stories. The lists have mix of sight words, phonics rules and vocab words, plus dictation sentences for each week. I'm using this for 5th grade, just thought I'd pass it on.

This project is supposed to be a simulated business for selling friendship bracelets, but I could see it as a real fundraiser for a Kiva Club.

I watched a webinar with Bill Ferriter and his students a few weeks ago. They talked about how they've been using Kiva.org for class project for a few years now. It was totally amazing. You can't watch the webinar without paying now, but he linked to all his resources here. I would be up for doing this as 3rd/5th collaboration if anyone's interested!

Just heard about this on Twitter and signed my class up. Kids are supposed to be 10+ to post but it says teachers can post if students are younger. ***Hope you don't mind if I keep posting to the 3rd grade Diigo! :)

Alternative to Padlet or Wallwisher. They have templates for school (KWL, Venns, etc.) and ability to invite users.

Weekly class meeting instead of or in addition to Morning Meeting---more formal, with chairperson and minutes. Interesting.
