Connecting With the One Living God - Bible Gateway - 0 views

  • if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and (C)believe in your heart that (D)God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, [b]resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, [c]resulting in salvation.
    • Gary Patton

But, what do I confess and believe you may ask? The key to reconciliation with God is to simply say honestly to Jesus: "I am a sinner. Please save me from my sin nature and my many sins. I believe you died on Your cross and rose ffrom your grave to reconcile me with God by paying the full penalty for my wrongs that my good works cannot overcome!"

"How To Connect With The One True God" You'll discover in Romans 10:8-12 below what the Bible says about connecting with God and having abundant life and day-to-day peace ...now not just in the next life... through a relationship with Jesus, the One Living God in Three. Having a relationship with the One Living God is not complicated. The door is always available ...in fact, Jesus (Yeshua), but not the Qur'anic Isa, is there knocking right now for those who don't know Him personally. He says so at http://diigo.com/0lk60 . Please take Jesus at His word, believe He wants to save you from your sin nature and your sins ...no matter what you may have done... as He promises below. He WANTS to give you complete peace by entering into His eternity with Him, now, as well as after death! gfp (2011-11-30)

You're too bright to believe in your heart that a perfectly holy God who demands absolute justice would be willing to measure anyone's ability to enter heaven on a "Bell Curve of good works" as the Qur'an suggests in Surah 23:97-104 or any other way but via His loving grace.
  • there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is (G)Lord of (H)all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

Quran-Islam.org - True Islam - 0 views

This article by a Muslim Arabic-speaer discusses what the Muslim Qur'an says bout the requirement for women's attire. He explains that neither the full, body-face and head-covering burqua nor even the hijab, covering the head and hair is commanded by Allah. Neither cultural practise is even referenced in Islam's holiest book. Interestingly, and difficult for those who would argue the traditions of Muhammad as specified in the thousands of a-hadith can be used to compel the covering of women by their Muslim fathers and husbands because Allah says: "Do not write down anything I say except the Qur'an. Whoever has written something other than Qur'an let him destroy it." (Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, Vol. 1, page 171 also Sahih Muslim, Book 42, Number 7147). GaryFPatton (gfp '42™ 2012-09-16)

"Jesus' Coming Was Prophesied For Over 1,000 Years" - Bible Gateway - 0 views

  •
"Jesus' Coming Was Prophesied For Over 1,000 Years" In Psalm 53, among many other passages in the Old Covenant (the Jewish part of the Christian Bible), Yeshua (Jesus) is clearly prophesied as the Jews' long-awaited Messiah. This prophesy was about 1,000 years before His coming as "God the Son". This Scripture was written down by the Jewish King, David, about 1,00 B.C.. For those with a general knowledge of Jesus' life and death by crucifixion, the prophesy is clear for anyone "with eyes to see and ears to hear", as Jesus was fond of saying as recorded in the New Covenant, which He made with His Followers. both Jews and Gentiles (all non-Jews, including Muslims). Other prophesies even pre-date this one in age. GaryFPatton (gfp '42™ 2012-09-12)

The Antidote to Dis-Stress - Bible Gateway - 0 views

Altought the word "Trinity", is nowhere in the Christian Scriptures. The concept of One God as three distinct and unique personalities is otline here and throught the New Testament. In addition, the Old Covenant repeatedly points to the coming of Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus).
  • John 14:26-28
    • Gary Patton

The Antidote to Dis-Stress Jesus came that his Followers who trust in Him may live in 'permanent peace'. In John 14: 26-28 here, read how that promise was fulfilled. Peace can has been defined many ways. In John 14:27, Yeshua (Jesus) states clearly that, ultimately, peace is a Person, God Himself living in each Jesus Follower.
  • Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. (F)Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

"Muslim Persecution of Christians: July, 2012" by Raymond Ibrahim - 0 views

  • Muslim Persecution of Christians: July, 2012
  •
"Muslim Persecution of Christians: July, 2012" by Raymond Ibrahim Because the persecution of Christians in the Islamic world is on its way to reaching epidemic proportions, "Muslim Persecution of Christians" was developed to collate some-by no means all-of the instances of persecution that surface each month. It serves two purposes: Intrinsically, to document that which the mainstream media does not: the habitual, if not chronic, Muslim persecution of Christians. Instrumentally, to show that such persecution is not "random," but systematic and interrelated-that it is rooted in a worldview inspired by Sharia. Accordingly, whatever the anecdote of persecution, it typically fits under a specific theme, including hatred for churches and other Christian symbols; apostasy and blasphemy laws; sexual abuse of Christian women; forced conversions to Islam; theft and plunder in lieu of jizya (tribute); overall expectations for Christians to behave like cowed "dhimmis" (barely tolerated citizens); and simple violence and murder. Oftentimes it is a combination thereof. Because these accounts of persecution span different ethnicities, languages, and locales-from Morocco in the west, to India in the east, and throughout the West, wherever there are Muslims-it should be clear that one thing alone binds them: Islam-whether the strict application of Islamic Sharia law, or the supremacist culture born of it.

Trials Produce Joy? Say what! | NIV YouVersion - 0 views

  • Trials and Temptations
  • When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
  • If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
