Computers, the internet, and cheating among secondary school students: some i... - 0 views

  • This article investigates in greater depth one particular aspect of cheating within secondary education and some implications for measuring academic achievement. More specifically, it examines how secondary students exploit the Internet for plagiarizing schoolwork, and looks at how a traditional method of educational assessment, namely paper-based report and essay writing, has been impacted by the

Yes, Google is trying to take over the world. - 1 views

When Google conquered Internet search in the early 2000s, it was strictly a Web company and faced only Web competitors. Since then it has only rarely ventured out of the friendly confines of the Web world. The 2005 launch of its controversial "book search," which enraged the New York publishing...

Why Google will Take Over the World? - 0 views

  •
Almost every single person I know uses Google.com for searches; most use the Omnibox in Google Chrome, so they use Google without actually going to Google.com. This is the number one vehicle that Google has in its arsenal to take over the world - mindshare.

"The three considerations that most impact value are location, location, and location." In the world of social media, they are purpose, purpose, and purpose." This Harvard Business review article is very much on the money. Who are you and why are you sharing. What is your purpose. If you don't know you'll send mixed signals. IF you do, you and the people who follow you will be more content with the experience.

Amazon Kindle Fire could Burn Up iPad's Lead | ITProPortal.com - 0 views

  •
This survey shows that iPad with the $199 price tag is a 'serious" contender for the ipad. I had someone ask me about Kindle fire vs. iPad. Definitely people are comparing it.  Many people are definitely comparing the ipad to the Kindle fire although the Kindle fire has two issues that don't have anything to do with Amazon: the droid OS and the Droid app store. The droid OS still lacks in touch responsiveness from the reviews I read. The Droid app store is a lot more open but also includes more "junk" and even some privacy and virus laden things from what I hear. Does this matter to the average person who just wants a smaller device and a $199 price tag - we'll see. Tablets are definitely in our future. You can see the redesign of women's pocketbooks reflecting this!
