It also discusses how there are some online projects that focus on disasters from around the world.

The Keep America Beautiful campaign is adding a new website to their name. They already have one for the organization, but are now building on it with a website that is called a social volunteer hub. This helps people who want to start their own clean-up project. Through this website they reach out with social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to gain more attention nationally.

This is an art project that is powered by google. It helps to link hundreds of different museums art work together, and allows its viewers to post masterpieces of their own.

NYU Medical students wear 3-D glasses and dissect a virtual cadaver projected on a screen. The professor says "it's like a living digital textbook." I do, however, really hope my doctors have experience with the human body and don't do like a kid who has practiced basketball and never played in the game - bumble the ball as they start. No one wants to be a practice dummy - in this case a practice cadaver. Yet, do you realize that we could now add human dissection to anatomy class? In 3D you could dissect the human body? There are very exciting things coming in this area.

This website is from a project similar to our Flat Classroom Project. It has a lot of information regarding the impact social networking has on education at the elementary, middle/high school and college levels.

This article states how wireless technology is used in different parts of the world and different projects that are trying to get more wireless technology in some smaller areas.
