Apple is quite protective of the uses of their devices and although they allow the development of "apps" -- they made waves recently when they denied the app that allows people to download and listen directly to podcasts w/out synching w/ the computer. Mobile itunes doesn't offer this feature. So, there is "open" and truly "open." Iphone apps store isn't really open, if this is true.

Like I said, both are excellent, low cost complimentary additions to help with a higher volume workflow. Teamed up with Photoshop or even Elements, and you have real solid toolset for the busy photographer that wants to keep their images organized."

Steve Jobs' obituary on wired news. He died too young but lived while he lived. May innovation at Apple not die with him. I think this makes us all sad because so much of innovation in the last years have been tied up with his leadership and vision that it is hard to imagine a world without him. I think it is harder to imagine imagination without him. Do we have the creativity in us to come up with things no one has thought of and improve millions of lives?
