Process Improvement and Blockchain: A Payments Example - 0 views

  •
This 'lost payments' problem was the problem we set out to solve when we built the Corda Settler. And I was reminded about this when I overheard some colleagues discussing it the other day. One of them wondered why we don't include the recipient of a payment in the set of parties that must agree that a payment has actually been made. Isn't that kinda a bit of an oversight?!

Central banks should ease fears over CBDC privacy - 0 views

"The ability to hold cash and spend it without authorisation is an important source of personal privacy, so it's entirely natural for people to be wary of new technologies digitising this type of money. Open collaboration between central banks, regulators and technology providers across both the public and private sectors will be key in fostering the necessary consumer trust to make this transition credible."

Solving CBDC's privacy problem - 0 views

  •
"If you were designing a CBDC you might want to create a cash-like experience for users. This is just one design decision, but it's surprisingly tricky. There are two features in particular that define the user experience with cash: it's anonymous and it's authenticable. Creating a token that incorporates one of these features is straightforward. Creating a token with both features together, however, poses an interesting-though solvable-challenge for blockchains that use the UTXO model."
