What a great website! I spent a good hour just looking at all the things on here. They have tips for us "new" teachers, ideas for lesson plans split up by subject and grade, articles from other teachers. if you have a bit of time check it out! it was really helpful to me
This is a wonderful site that includes many classroom strategies that build vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. By clicking on the link of a strategy, you may find downloadable worksheets and even detailed descriptions of how to use a particular strategy in mathematics, science, social studies, or English.
Sweetsearch is a way for students to search sites that have been approved by "staff of research experts and librarians and teachers have evaluated and approved."
This is great because it prevents students from using sites that may be misleading or full of wrong information.
Really neat site that shows videos that are relevant to teaching.
There is a wide variety of what kinds of videos they show. There is math, science, etc.
You tube for teachers! Here you will find videos posted by teachers to aid in their instruction. Some stuff is really good, others not so much, but as with anything on the net you have to spend some time browsing. Great resource if you are not inclined to do your own video!
