The pbs site has a lot of good tips for teachers for a classroom in the k-12 setting. It has a lot of good ideas for activities in the classroom for every subject. As a foreign lanuage teacher, I found some good things under the reading and language arts tabs.

frontline: inside the teenage brain | PBS - 0 views

Great instructional video for teachers and parents to understand the teenage brain. If you are planning on teaching middle and high school I strongly recommend it. If you have taken SECD 4140 you might've seen it already. For me, it was an eye opener. I was a teenager a long time ago and sometimes I feel like I don't really relate or understand certain behaviors. After watching this video I feel more compassionate towards teenagers! Check it out! This is a great source for science teachers. It is a way to provide students with a glimpse at the lives of modern day scientists. There is a tab for teachers which provides tips for teachers (lesson plans, 5 minute tasks to do in class, project ideas, homework assignments), web resources, video clips, etc.
