Difference between Web 1.0, Web 2.0, & Web 3.0 - 2 views

  •
World Wide Web has evolved so fast that there seems to be some confusion about its evolution, and eras of its development. A consensus has again evolved which has divided the development of the World Wide Web into three eras which are known as Web 1.0, Web 2.0 and Web 3.

This is a collection of sites where you can research human rights from different perspectives. This group of web sites offers articles from different institutions that fight for and support human rights. These sites give you concepts of universal human rights. You will also be provided with a list of links to different organizations in which you can even find human rights areas for education, material resources and planned activities for teaching human rights.

    another option beside mind42
  •
Thanks Dave. I checked this out and liked it. I'll explore it more. It's in Beta and one doesn't know whether it will stay free. But I'm going to check it out. Mind42 seems a bit complex for people to get on, though once they are there, it really is easy to use.

Spanish the second language in the USA - 2 views

  •
Spanish is the second most-common language in the United States after English. There are more Spanish speakers in the U.S. than there are speakers of Chinese, French, Italian, Hawaiian, and the Native American languages combined. According to the 2009 American Community Survey conducted by the United States Census Bureau, Spanish is the primary language spoken at home by over 35.5 million people aged 5 or older. There are 45 million Hispanics who speak Spanish as a first or second language and there are 6 million Spanish students, making it the world's second-largest Spanish-speaking community, only after Mexico and ahead of Spain, Colombia and Argentina. Roughly half of all U.S. Spanish speakers also speak English "very well", based on the self-assessment Census question respondents.

Teaching Human Rights in Ontario - 0 views

  •
A critical participant in the effort to combat prejudice and discrimination in society is its educational institutions; not only because the attitudes and values to which young people are exposed in school influence their future conduct, but also because, although it is the implicit right of citizens to act upon their "rights," they must know what those rights are before they will be able to do so.
