First came the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, published by the US Department of Health and Human Services in an attempt to get Americans moving more. The motto, "Be Active Your Way" (Kids love to workout with Wii) became an empowering call to every American to take personal responsibility for her own physical health. The next step is developing a National Physical Activity Plan for the US.
