Mary Leigh WAA on 19 Nov 10Martin, Marilyn. "Art Deco Architecture in South Africa." The Journal of Decorative and Propaganda Arts 20 (1994): 8-37. JSTOR. Web. 16 Nov. 2010.\n\nThis source focuses on a location that is not usually associated with Art Deco: South Africa. There is mention notonly of the designers of the art, but also of the architects who were actually building the structures. Quotes from architechs about the buidings as well as pictures are included. This article does a great job of using descriptions and imagery to describe the buildings. This article was very interesting because it is not common knowledge that Art Deco was popular in South Africa and it was interesting to learn about the history of the movement there.
