This article by Deborah Brandt focus on the relationship between learners and sponsors of literacy. The text discusses how there is a duality to this sponsorship where institutions support growth of literacy and in turn expect the learners to go on to represent their institution positively. This is an logical and economic relationship that occurs everywhere and I wish to use this to understand how this relates to students in the ITEC program. The students in ITEC are asked to write about something related to education in the English 130 class.
