This John Lovett site gives you an overview on all elements and principles of design, including contrast. The website is interactive because there are lessons on everything from how to use watercolors to improving tonal contrast.

A much more in-depth analysis of clearly writing instructions and what should be pushed, as well as the consideration of the audience.

Very basic checklist of what to include in instructions and how to make the intent clear to the audience.

A video on how to write instructions which will be helpful in project 1. If you are a visual learner this video will help you better understand the purpose of instruction writing and how to successfully write instructions.

This is a great source because it is interactive. If students are still questioning their ability to write effective instructions, these practical exercises help to hone their skills. The practical exercises test your knowledge of concepts surrounding writing instructions. I think it will benefit project #1 because it's a beneficial prepartory tool.

This is a rather lengthy article, but it provides good insight into why we write instructions and how to effectively do so. I think this article will help me with the project because I like thinking about the cognitive processes behind reading what is writtena nd I hope to incorporate some of the article's information into the project.

This is a great tutorial on all the four basic design principals. The creator has made remember the principals of design easy by calling it the C.R.A.P design principals. C.R.A.P standis for contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity.

Purdue online writing lab give help on revising for conciseness and clarity. This is very important when I do my instructions because for my instructions to effective people must understand what I am say and quickly.
