Governor Brewer apprehensions on the previous bill were the rights were not spelled out distinctly. She indicated the law could have applied to elementary and high school campuses. The National Rifle Association is in support of the purposed bill. Lawmakers supposedly held assemblies with University and Police officials. January 9th the bill was introduced to the legislature. Supposing the bill passes into law, Arizona would be marked as one out of the only five states where guns are allowed on a college campus.

Arizona State senate is trying to introduce a ban to stop illegal immigrants from driving as well as attending Arizona Universities. Senate believes that this will clean up our system and not make tax payers have to pay for illegals.

Many students that have entered the states illegally, but have legally obtained a University diploma are having hard times finding jobs after college. Although the DREAM act allows for students that are illegal to obtain residency for college students. Although, Rhode Island students might be facing bigger problems because many employers cannot hire students because they are not legal.

The University of Kentucky has recently become a smoke free campus. Campus monitors not only patrol the grounds for bad behavior but now looks for smokers. Monitors will ask the individual to put the cigarette out and provide a flyer on quitting.

The legal drinking age for the U.S. should be lowered if the situation is being supervised in certain environments. Many drink underage to "rebel" against society norms so lowering the age would not call for such rebellion. Binge drinking would not take place if environment is being supervised.

I agree and don't think it is any different than teaching young adults how to have safe sex if they choose to have sex. If someone is going to choose to drink at 18, 19, or 20 or 40 for that matter they should be held responsibile for their actions at any age. Why do the laws say purport that a person is an adult at age 18, can drive at age 16, but can't drink until 21? I think it's hypocritical to say someone is an adult at age 18 BUT, you can't drink until your 21.

This article was very interesting! I'm glad that these young adults have people that are advocating for them because I don't think that it is right for them to be forced into the same deportation units as other illegals, just because they didn't have a choice in the matter.
