There is a school that is teaching children as young a five years old about sexual matters. It is a "staged" program, meaning it is taught in stages. For instance, stage one would be for ages 5-7 years of age. Stage two would be from ages 8-11 and so on. What the article explained is that there is a level of education that is required to be taught. This was put in place by the national curriculum. There are certain subjects and areas our children have to be taught within the school system. Where does it say that this involves sexual intercourse? The children would start from age five learning about the body and life cycles and by age seven would be learning about intercourse. Many parents are outraged and looking for ways to meet this concerning issue head on. Parents are feeling that this type of teaching can lead their children to be faced with feelings they are not old enough to deal with responsibly. Other parents feel that school should be a pressure free place for their children.The bottom line is that schools have the right to decide what is taught within the nation curriculum's guidelines.It is up to parents to find out exactly what is being taught to their children and decide from there.

New York City Mayor is trying to ban sugar drinks that are larger than 16 ounces because it is one of the main causes of obesity. People argue that although they agree with the fact that soft drinks are indeed unhealthy, the government should protect the freedom of the people.

taking away the drinks are going too far but the idea is right, obesity is a huge problem in the US and although it is an argument of freedom to eat, drink etc whatever you may please but when it comes to health that is a whole differnt concern.

In this brief article, a woman was reprimanded by her employer for breast-feeding her 3-month-old son in a Fort Brag mini-mall. Someone who was offended by the woman breast-feeding filed an anonymous complaint and a few days later the woman was told by her manager that the Army and Air Force Exchange Services, which manages military malls, has banned breast feeding. Although the employee did not want to make anyone uncomfortable or cause any further issue after her reprimand both North Carolina and federal law, allow women to breast-feed in public, even if their breast is exposed.

This was an issue 11 years ago when I was a breastfeeding mom. I had no choice but to take my 8 week old baby with me to a mandatory work meeting. I had a "cover" that is made to drape over me like a pancho. You could see nothing. Not even the baby's feet! I was asked to leave the meeting. That also came with repercussions, obviously out of my control. The mind blowing part of this entire story is my boss was a mother that had nursed her baby when he was little. Wouldn't you think she would understand more than anyone? This article is interesting to me due to the fact that there are laws in place to keep mothers from breastfeeding their children. That is outrageous! You should not feel pressured to bottle feed your child. It is a personal choice. I as a parent, had weighed out the pros and cons of both. And I made the decision to give my daughter a healthy head start. Why should we as human beings, be punished for taking proper care of our children. In my opinion, people need to find something else to complain about. And they will!
