A group of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents filed against removing illegals saying that listening to policies on what types of illegal immigrants should get priority for deportation could place them in violation of federal law.

A federal court of appeals denied Texas from enacting its voting rights law. This case is one of many to cut back on strict voting laws in Texas. Arizona State senate is trying to introduce a ban to stop illegal immigrants from driving as well as attending Arizona Universities. Senate believes that this will clean up our system and not make tax payers have to pay for illegals.

Arizona passes an anti-immigration law which allows police to questions people that are suspected of being in this country illegally. 70% of the Los Angeles Latino population is in favor of sanctions against AZ, which include restricting future contracts with AZ companies.

I defiantly disagree with both of these laws. I don't think it is right that a cop can pull someone over just to make sure they are legal. I also think in order to be allowed to handle a gun people should go through safety classes.

I think there should be a little more added to both these laws. If you want to search someone regardless of race, gender, religion or whatever you should need probable cause. Also I think if you are going to handle any type of weapon you should have some background with weapons handling; maybe off free weapons safety classes at public ranges?

I don't agree with the "second hand that follows" with this law of racial profiling. But then again profiling is part of law enforcements job. There is nothing wrong for a police officier just asking for a citizenship card, green card, visa, or regular identification, if suspected. But if it goes further then i think that it is wrong.

This article states what complications Hispanic people face right now here in Arizona with police. The law states that a cop is allowed to arrest someone, granted they follow certain steps, if they have reasonable suspicion. Many people find that it borders racism and aren't comfortable with the new law.

Obama on SB1070: "we thought that there was a great danger that naturalized citizens -- individuals with Latino surnames -- potentially could be vulnerable to questioning." this article also says that Sheriff Arpaio resents Obama's suggestion that he (Arpaio) engages in racial profiling. Arpaio says he is an "equal opportunity guy" and he is "Enforcing all the laws."
