SB 1070 is a law that has made headlines all over the news. The law that gives permission to officers in Arizona to ask for immigration documents to anyone that has been stopped for any type of violation. To some law makers in Washington courts argue that its discrimination to Latinos and others say its just another way of supporting the federal law.

The supreme court has been asked to decide the constitutionality of Obama's healthcare policy and Arizona's SB1070. In turn, the court will have to decide on the extent of the federal government's power.

This article describes how the SB 1070 law was passed and gives the definition. What I liked about this article was the chart showing who opposed and who supported this legislation. This chart will help give different views and supporting details on this subject.

Obama on SB1070: "we thought that there was a great danger that naturalized citizens -- individuals with Latino surnames -- potentially could be vulnerable to questioning." this article also says that Sheriff Arpaio resents Obama's suggestion that he (Arpaio) engages in racial profiling. Arpaio says he is an "equal opportunity guy" and he is "Enforcing all the laws."
