Whole Foods takes a stance in support of GMO labeling on food products; demands action by 2018.

okay so it's totally understandable that people want to know what they are eating especially since we are all unique as an individual and some of us care about what we put in our bodies. There are a lot of people who have become vegans and only prefer to eat organic, non-genetically modified foods. Some people view certain things as a concern for their health. Labeling foods is something that I can agree with and believe is completely logical so i fit into the percentile of 92% of the citizens that vote for GMO labeling.

Activists and legislators are trying to push our "right to know" regarding GMO labeling on to companies whose products are genetically modified. A few states are already putting the bill into action.

Proposition 37 in California has sparked interest all across the country. USDA has approved a non-gmo label for meats. Awareness of GMO's is on the rise as the interest of people wanting to know if they're food has been genetically modified or not.

Great article. I have followed the GMO issue for a while and I don't see why they can't label. They know what is and what is not since some of these companies ship to countries where GMO's are not allowed.
