HEFCE funded project to create employability-enhancing resources for HE staff to help students identify and prepare for 'critical incidents' which, according to employers, epitomise the major problems that newly qualified graduates encounter when they start work in the 'real world'.
Looks like they've taken an imaginative approach to communicating with students.
PricewaterhouseCoopers have designed some great resources for students (and potential applicants). These include interactive videos, a brochure and some reflective questions. The language they use is very accessible. A lot of the material is generic enough to use in many different contexts.
The ECN SHEEN Sharing Netvibes paged has helped inspire Darren Jones at the University of Sussex Careers Service: this is his trial page using Netvibes for students using their careers service. It's interesting because it's divided into tabs for subject areas.

This is the second story related to employability I researched and co-wrote with Mimas- this one's on the use of live census data in human geography at undergrad level. There will be more and fuller information about this coming later this year.
The core content of the site will be audio clips of finalists and recent graduates reflecting on their time at university, under the broad themes of studying, social life and futures
This is a developing service which will show sound bites of student experiences. I think this will be a really useful resource for the Scottish Employability Netvibes page. It goes live in Jan 2010!!
