They soon begin to realize that to sell an item they need the materials to make it. To get the materials, they need money to purchase them. The game is highly engaging, however, a several discussions on the economic concepts are needed before students begin to grasp them concretely.

There are interactive games that allow students to learn more about currency past and present and even to try their hand at making their own. This website would fit in well in a history or social studies lesson and could be used for children in first through fifth grade.
