The History Teacher's Channel provides great historical content set to some of America's most popular songs. Think of it as and educational version Weird Al Yankovic. Every song and (and there is over 50 to date) contains a music video that reinforces the song.  I often use these for anticipatory sets in my class, and the students love them. Best of all they are free.

Amazon offers 16,623 songs, loops. background music-whatever you might need for future ed tech projects. Other sites just aren't as trustworthy.

Free music downloads, free games, children's books, children's music, children's songs, sing-along songs, and animated cartoons help teach kids to read. Free teacher lessson plans, work sheets, teaching aids, daily quizzes help classroom teachers teach and test.

Recently we took our class on a field trip to see Jack Hartmann. The kids loved it! He sings educational songs that keep kids moving! Love it!

Cell phones could become the next big learning tool in the classroom. So why have schools been so slow to embrace them? Without a doubt, cell phones can cause serious disruption in the classroom. From urgent text messages flying across the room to lessons interrupted by rap-song ringtones, these gadgets are responsible for nationwide frustration among educators.

This website is a great way to introduce and reinforce touch typing with your younger students. I use this program with my third grade keyboarding class. They love getting to the song at the end and can't wait to move on to the next level!

"Florida Facts and History"

Starfall.com opened in September of 2002 as a free public service to teach children to read with phonics. Our systematic phonics approach, in conjunction with phonemic awareness practice, is perfect for preschool, kindergarten, first grade, second grade, special education, homeschool, and English language development (ELD, ELL, ESL).

This is a great site for children ages 2-8. It teaches pre-reading as well as reading skills up to 2nd grade. Includes games, animated stories, songs, and writing activities. I use it daily!

Starfall is a free website that teaches children how to read through phonics. It has practice games on phonemic awaresness. The program is great for grades K-2, second language learners and special education.
