Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators offers teacher resources, including categorized lists of sites that are useful for enhancing curriculum and professional growth. I like how there is a link for new sites for the month and also a theme for the month.

This site is designed to support teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to elementary school students. On this site you will find fun and exciting resources to help keep your students motivated to learn, without sacrificing the learning experience. This site is especially great for classrooms with multimedia capabilities. Introduce new vocabulary with the vocabulary viewer, play fun flash games for the classroom, and print your own customized worksheets and flashcards. You can also download PowerPoint presentations and use fun teaching tools.

Formerly called Science News for Kids, this is a great resource for elementary and middle school students. In my classes I assign a monthly "science current events article" and this is one of the recommended sources.

Great website for educators to access royalty free clip art, lesson plans, clip media, and presentations.

This website is AMAZING. It has clip-art, photographs, presentation images, maps, lessons, and answers to tech questions. There are so many images available, they are free (up to a certain amount, but it is very generous), it tells you exactly how to cite them, and it has options for file size and format. Think of Netflix for Education video and you've got SAFARI Montage. With entire video libraries (All of Reading Rainbow and Bill Nye the Science Guy for example ) available locally at a school or centrally via the district, SAFARI Montage will allow you to create custom play lists, clips and lessons you can show your students with engaging and safe video materials.

I was waiting to post this one! It is such a great resource. I use it all the time and get a lot of my introductory to certain lesson videos here.

A Guide for Developing and/or Evaluating Materials for use in Florida's Public Schools The process of lesson study should promote standards‐based instruction; the development of rigorous, rich, and relevant lessons to engage students in learning content outlined in the Next Generation Sunshine State (Common Core) Course Descriptions; and professional growth for each member of the lesson study team.
