This is great website for parents within the Broward County school district to use as a quick condense reference guide to get and stay info with what's going on in this school district. This website also provides an abundance of valuable resources ranging from ways for parent to get involve in their child's schooling, school policies, academic info, and supportive services to things as Teen Parent Program, health education, and preventive programs from substance abuse, etc.

It can be set to have one answer per computer/smart phone, or multiple answers per. Great to have parents leave anonymous comments to questions.

This is a great resource! I have an interactive whiteboard and the students love listening/viewing the online stories. I think it also shows a positive message from famous actors that reading is important. Thanks for sharing!

This website is provided through the Screen Actors Guild foundation. Stories are read by actors. There are about 25 stories geared more for younger children. They provide options to comment on the stories or buy the books.

This is a great site for children ages 2-8. It teaches pre-reading as well as reading skills up to 2nd grade. Includes games, animated stories, songs, and writing activities. I use it daily!

Starfall is a free website that teaches children how to read through phonics. It has practice games on phonemic awaresness. The program is great for grades K-2, second language learners and special education.
