Paul McCartney Art - 4 views

The well known musician, Paul McCartney, made some very nice visual art paintings. Color seems to be a big part of his work. The colors give you a feel as to the emotion attached to it.

He is a unique artist in music and painting. Incredible at both which is awesome.
  •
I like the way the colors express his emotions and how his portraits are distorted and warped. Its very abstract and he has a great talent in music and art
  •
He makes some very interesting artwork. if the facial expressions don't show the emotions then the colors do. theres always a way to tell.
  •
I find it very interesting that such a talented singer is also such a talented artist. The way he uses colors to express the emotions shows a lot about his artistic style.
  •
i like the different colors he used to make the design

Little Known Gems: Reviews and Interpretations: THE ART OF FIELDING: A ZEN ANALYSIS, an... - 0 views

  •
This last week I discussed George Sheehan's theory of defense and character in conjunction with The Odyssey , Homer's classic. Today I'd like to extend that discussion with another book on defense, Chad Harbach's THE ART OF FIELDING . Baseball has its human universals, and the best baseball novelists sometimes use classic novels as referents to anchor their works.

First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival - Shows - Show - Light Graffiti Experience - 0 views

Join the Rochester Mini Maker Faire crew for an interactive, hands-on experience. Light Graffiti returns and audience participation is needed to make it amazing. Make LED Throwies and add to the graffiti street art project by throwing these little lights onto their giant canvas. It's a community effort that's fun for all ages! You'll want to stop back and see it all night long as it grows and morphs into a kaleidoscope.

Visusal art of musicians: John Mellencamp - 6 views

  •
John Mellencamp's visual art website. Mellencamp developed a style that fuses the aesthetic approaches of the German expressionists Max Beckmann and Otto Dix with that of American neo-expressionists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Francesco Clemente. His oil paintings combine portraits of everyday Americans with a cast of universally recognized symbols-hearts, guitars, targets, and crowns-and words such as "dreams," "blues," and "freedom."

His style is very unique and interesting. The exaggerated body parts look like it highlights a feature of them.
  •
The way he contorts the Human body in his illustrations shows a certain type of emotion and mood the characters are portraying. I enjoy his style and artwork.
  •
Will, are you the next art writer for City Newspaper or did you borrow some ideas (heavily ahem) from your source? Please cite your sources or give us your own observations. If this is your writing, you need to teach me what Neo-expressionism means. I have always wondered. Just kidding.
  •
I was very impressed with the way the paintings made me think. They're very satisfying to look at and It was like the paintings were whispering those emotions until I really saw. Then it was like they were being told to me clearly.

Typography Cheat Sheet: The 6 Big Mistakes to Avoid - 0 views

  •
Typography is one of those strange skills - too mathematical to be pure art, but a touch too intangible to be pure science. Our modern life is awash with text, so all front-end devs really need to have a thorough working knowledge of the "art of arranging type".
