Note, product success isn't actually the same as project success - as a project regarded as a success, delivered in acceptable time and cost, eventually, it may end up that the product of the project didn't realize its goal.

At Antwak, we interview Product Managers (PM) across the globe about their experiences and professional journey as Product Manager. How do they handle multiple tasks and responsibilities? What is a day in the life of a Product Manager like? Have you ever wondered what do Product Managers care about? And what Product managers need to know? Let's check out what these successful professionals say about their life as a Product Manager: Gretchen (Gretchen Rodriguez) - Sr Product Manager eBay: She shared the challenges she faced in this role while doing product management before moving to the US. During that period the job title Product Manager was not that popular and was wondering how to proceed and that's when she decided to wait for the opportunity to apply for this role to get this job title and role specifically to start officially. It was a challenge to wait to get this role after a long wait. But again it was worth waiting. He focused on learning about the product and market in the first 30 days to achieve success. Learning about the product is not simply knowing product details but the challenges and uncertainties attached to it. Knowing about your customers, vendors, marketers, competitors, stakeholders in the ecosystem as a whole. Strive to determine your place in the ecosystem and your competitor's strategies. Apart from these takeaways, one should also focus on the company's core competencies and product strategies. Product Manager-Preeti Sekar also speaks about the challenges an early professional might face in this role as a PM in the first 30 days. A person might be from a different domain, profile, and experience and new to this role facing all sorts of criticism and feedback from customers, stakeholders, etc, and eventually one can settle themselves with the roles and responsibilities of a Pr

"Digital marketing: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Starter Guide" by + professionals - 0 views

  •
Affiliate Marketing is a rational and flexible sales strategy that creates numerous income streams. However, it is not an easy, get-rich-quick form of income. Earning through Affiliate Marketing requires: Research into products, web traffic patterns, and follower interests. Regular engagement with the products and brand networks that you choose to endorse. Hours of maintaining a relationship with the followers who show interest in the service/product or purchase them through your affiliate links. Using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and social media marketing to consistently attract new followers. Successful Affiliate Marketing strategies: Knowing your partners- Research each affiliate scheme you think about joining so that you will understand how and when you'll be paid. Build trust- Buy the products and personally witness the quality. You'll be judged by the product or service you promote, you need to focus on the quality of your recommendations, not just the earning potential. This gains your followers' trust and would purchase through you in the future. Relevance- Choose wisely that matches your niche and the contents of your blog. SEO or social media alone cannot drive people to your website and affiliate referrals, understand your target audience. Know the legal requirements- You should write a review or use an in-text link as a recommendation. You can mention each purchase using that link can make a revenue for you, not disclosing affiliate or revenue-generating links, could make you face legal and financial penalties. Track your traffic and earnings- Observe the success of your affiliate programs, know which programs are the most successful and which products resonate with your followers so you can plan future campaigns. Watch AntWak videos on Affiliate Marketing, which is an achievable income option, but it doesn't work for every business, making an income through affiliate marketing requires dedication and commitment over a long period of time.

Nairobi 2010 Conference Reoprt - 5 views

Nairobi 2010 Conference Reoprt  Climate Change and Natural Resource Use in Eastern Africa: Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation Report of the 3rd Scientific Conference of the Ecological Society for Eastern Africa (ESEA) and co-hosted with the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) at Multimedia University College, Nairobi, 19 - 21 May 2010 By Nicholas Oguge, Caroline Lumosi, Teddy Odindo, Joseph Ngondi and Philista Malaki October 4, 2010 Summary While the Earth's climate has changed throughout history, the current warming trend has been of particular concern because most of it is human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented.  One of the greatest concerns of this global warming is climate variability and change.  The risks associated with climate change add to development challenges such as food and water insecurity. Although climate change is only one of the many drivers negatively affecting biodiversity and ecosystem services, it certainly exacerbates the other factors such as land degradation and unsustainable natural resource use. There is general concern on the accelerating deterioration of the human environment and natural resources. This would widen poverty levels confronting eastern African countries and threaten gains made towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals. Thus, the Ecological Society for Eastern African organised its 3rd annual scientific conference with a theme addressing this global challenge.  The idea was to bring together researchers, policy makers and the general public together to discuss the climate change phenomena, its impacts, mitigation strategies and adaptation measures with regard to natural resource use in Eastern Africa. In order to address above issues and to reach out to a wider audience, we designed the conference strategically on three tiers:   1. Plenary talks: to provide policy information and direction, science on climate change, ecological and socio-economic effects, how to commun

Cognitive, Instructional, and Social Presence as Factors in Learners' Negotiation of Pl... - 0 views

  •
Adult learners value the flexibility and convenience offered to them as online learners, and many learners are required to absent themselves from their online classes during courses in order to accommodate demanding schedules. What factors and tensions contribute to learners' decision-making at these times? This qualitative study considered the planned absences of learners engaged in an online graduate course at a large university. Working within the framework provided by cognitive, instructional, and social presences, findings showed the following: (1) learners understood and accommodated the relationship and importance of the affective domain to their cognitive successes in learning, (2) successful learners demonstrated insightful self-knowledge in using metacognitive strategies, and (3) learners' external support systems were fundamental to their ability to continue to learn when absences occurred. The study's findings corroborate other recent research that similarly stresses the complexity and interrelated nature of the adult learning process.

Why might we want to learn Digital Technologies? - The Learner's Way - 0 views

  •
Understanding the "Why" of any initiative should be a key step prior to implementation. Without a clear understanding of our "Why" how are we to judge the success of what we are implementing. How will we know which steps take us in the right direction if we have no concept of why we are journeying. In our implementation of ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) and now Digital Technologies, a lack of clarity on the matter of "Why" has often been the most significant challenge to success.
