Multicultural classrooms - 1 views

  •
The website itself is about building better communities by creating "equitable and just schools." The page I have bookmarked is a list of handouts relating to multicultural education and working around poverty and the social classes. The material at times is out of the norm for the typical teacher, but there are gems hidden amongst the ideas.

Authentic Happiness - 1 views

I recently went through the Master Resiliency Trainer Course (MRT) and it's a very good course. We had to figure out what our character strengths were by taking the VIA (Values in action) survey. There is one on this link for kids. Imagine if you KNEW what your student strengths were. Imagine if they knew what their strengths were. Could this impact your teaching? Under questionnaires, take the VIA for yourself. Have your students take it. It could be useful.

This would be so beneficial to high school students and even elementary and middle. I could see it really helping high school students to help in making career choices possibly. Thanks for sharing!

From Mixture to Solution - 0 views

This article provides a foundational vision to provide the last attempt to socialize our young adults to move our culture into the next stage in American social development. This shift corresponds and perhaps correlates the intellectual shift toward a post-critical era; in which consideration for the observer or subject is taken into account along with the object of study.
