This is the book i brought up in class last week whose title I could not remember. Quite disturbing--I read it the summer before I started teaching and I think it would be even harder to read. But, Kozol is a very engaging writer with an amazing ability to balance the personal and the political.

This is one of my favorite educational resources! The magazine provides a wealth of policy analysis, teaching ideas, and reassurance that it is possible to be a progressive and effective teacher. I also feel like their resources on multicultural education provides a nice counterpoint to Postmans' critique.
