What We Know About Pro Wrestling Gear | Sport Articles - 0 views

  •
Most people take pro wrestling gear for granted. That means they assume that a wrestler can wear anything he wants in the ring. And, honestly, there are some wrestlers that do pretty much wear what they want. However, this is often the result of trying to present a certain gimmick or appearance. In some instances, it can prove helpful while in other situations, it could prove highly problematic. That is why it is best to purchase pro wrestling gear that aids in helping one's performance in the ring while avoiding the problems inherent to wearing the wrong gear.

The Use of Digital Technologies in the Classroom - 0 views

  •
Today's college students, often referred to as the "digital generation," use an impressive assortment of technological tools in a wide variety of ways. However, the findings reported here suggest that students prefer more traditional instructional technology for effective engagement and learning. Faculty members, however, prefer the use of course-learning technology offered by their universities or publishers. In addition to this potential mismatch between preferences of students and teachers, the research finds that there are vast differences in preferences and usage across disciplines, in particular, business and economics instructors and students having stronger technology preferences than instructors and students of the fine arts and life sciences.

Dallas' troubled Spruce high school saved by students' TAKS scores | News for Dallas, T... - 0 views

I found this article extremely interesting. 1. I think it is great that the school was able to rebound itself from being a low performer to fitting in with the rest of the schools in the ISD after many years below the norm. 2. The approach the principal and school district took to achieve there goals was something i'd never seen before. They took out the 10th and 11th grades to focus on those students who wanted to learn and were willing to graduate. I'm not sure how I feel about the principal/district sorting students by those willing and those not, how are they to make that decision? Although this article deals with child abuse from a pediatrician's perspective, I feel that it has relevance for teachers. As a teacher, there are times when one might have to understand what marks are the result of child development and behavior versus those that are teh result of child abuse.

The National Parks Service's Teaching with Historica Places uses places listed on the National Register of Historic Places to enhance traditional teaching of history, social studies, geography, etc. There are over 135 classroom lesson plans. I find this to be very interesting because I would like to incorporate more examples of material culture in the classroom. I think lessons like this provide a valuable lens through which to study historic moments.
