Remind (formerly Remind101) is a safe, free way for teachers to text message students and keep in touch with parents. I use it with my class for easy communication for my parents. I can send reminders easily and don't have to give out my private cell.

This would be an excellent resource to use in teams such as administration teams, academic departments, committees and even class projects. This resource makes it easy for teachers, administrators or even committees to delineate duties. Some tools made available are the ability to set priorities, live note taking, flagging and due dates.

Celly lets you instantly group people and topics into cells. Cells function as chatrooms where people communicate instantly via text-based messaging. Cells can include messages from the web or other social networks to capture your interests. This resource allows for all phone numbers to be kept private during communication. Celly offers a handy tool to communicate with parents, students, and groups of any kind. A teacher or leader of any kind can mass text a group of people and receive individual responses while remaining anonymous. This tool is great for sending schedules, reminders and even in class polls.
