A bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, websites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Bibliographies are sometimes called "references" or "works cited" depending on the style format you are using. A bibliography usually just includes the bibliographic information (i.e., the author, title, publisher, etc.). An annotation is a summary and/or evaluation. Therefore, an annotated bibliography includes a summary and/or evaluation of each of the sources. Depending on your project or the assignment, your annotations may do one or more of the following:

Our numeracy video relates to the Year 3 statistic and data strand in ACARA. It asks the questions of what is the best way to find out the average temperature between to cities? What are the x and y axis used for in graphs? and what other forms of data could be compared in a bar graph?

This video explores the numeracy skills used in everyday life when posting a parcel (namely Length, Weight, Distance and Money). It can be used to either introduce new concepts or consolidate them. It also allows the teacher to pause and discuss each topic with the class through the discussion questions provided. It is aimed at Primary School students (years 2-5).

A video that could be used to get students thinking about the number of ways in which we use mathematics in everyday situations. It has been designed so that teachers can pause the video at certain intervals for students to discuss some open-ended questions and to work through some of the mathematics problems in their own way. The idea behind this is for the audience to recognise that we all have different perspectives when it comes to mathematics and different ways of working through mathematics problems or tasks... there is more than one way of thinking about numeracy and solving mathematics problems!

EDUC3625 educational numearcy video on non-standard units of measurment for primary school classroom

This video demonstrates the many features of buildings within the community that could be measured using non-standard units, such as hand-height, foot-length and arm-span. Viewers will understand that these measurements can be used to estimate length, height and area when standard units are not available, such as tape measures.

A Project completed by American students using blogs

This is a really cool idea. It's so great to read about everyone's different perspectives on Alice in Wonderland. I really like the point that one of the students in the video makes - the teacher wasn't the one with the answers - they didn't insinuate to the students the type of things they should be analysing or the conclusions they should draw etc it was up to the students to analyse the story in their own way and to draw their own conclusions. Thanks for sharing :)

It is important to teach digital citizenship in clear and easy to implement terms. Why? Is it because it demystifies it? Is it because it makes technology a positive force in our children's lives?
