My reasons for choosing this website are based on three simple points. One, it is a website that offers a lot or resources, not only lesson plans but themes, tips, worksheets ect. My second reason for choosing this website is not only does it offer a lot of tools a teacher can use, but it gives other sites-for information as well. For example, if you search Special Education in the tool bar it will give you options where you can read about disorders and disabilities, it also gives you the possibility to join groups such as, Special Education Support Groups. My last reason for choosing this website is because-it is HUGE. This website seems to be endless, in a very great way! It is super easy to maneuver around and figure things out, yet it gives so much information and ideas. It is a great website, I will take lesson plans, ideas, strategies off of the website, so it would be great for a parent or guardian to see what I use as a reference.

This website can help students not only improve their writing skills, but it would also give the students the opportunity to interact with other students from all across the world. This will give them a new look into diversity, and it will give them the opportunity to have new friends. I would use this website in my classroom to help let the students interact with the other people. Also, this website would help them realize the importance of writing. It would also give them the feeling of accomplishment because their writings could be published. This website would be very helpful because they could also look up what other students had to say about certain subjects.

The Treasure Hunt consists of about 12 questions that require the student to research the penguin information on the Sea World website, so that they can find the correct answers for the Treasure Hunt. If the student scores well enough on the Treasure Hunt questions, they might be inducted into the "Explorer's Hall of Fame." The Treasure Hunt is just a fun way to get the students motivated to learn and read through the information about penguins. The combination of these two websites gives students the opportunity to learn about penguins in an exciting hunt for penguin facts.

They are sort of like high tech versions of the building blocks with letters and numbers we used as children. The can play music, form words, and other exciting functions. IF I had these in my classroom I would definitely use them in math. On the website it shows a video of siftables with numbers on them and you can arrange say 5 + 3 = each on a different siftable. Teachers are able to design a site without needing to know HTML or software programs and are able to post announcements, assign homework, start discussions and give practice quizzes. SWIFT can be integrated with an existing site and created with the same color and design scheme to fit in with a present district site. Having created websites before, I think options like this are fabulous for creating a decent-looking and usable site.

This website would work in a third grade classroom perfect. I think that it would work perfect because it is very easily to access. It is also very easy to use because all the lessons are setup for you and ready to use. The materials that are in this website are perfect for this age group. Some of the categories are: Art, Famous Explorers, Library skills, and math mathematics I would work them into my lesson by asking the kids to take turns reading what's on the overhead and then we would stop to talk about what we learned. We would also have quizzes after our PowerPoint presentation on what we talked about.

For me, this would be extremely helpful in a Geography classroom, or in a Language classroom when studying cultures or places in the world that are famous. This site could also be very helpful if a person was planning a trip to a foreign country, or city/town.
