Middle School Math | WebQuests created by eMINTS teachers | eMINTS - 0 views

  • This project originally was an activity posted on the NASA Glenn Learning Technologies Project. However, a colleague and I expanded it into a project with a nod to “Junkyard Wars.” This lesson is one part of a unit on Motion, Forces and Energy that includes activities and demonstrations. Students apply Newton's Laws of motion to construct a vehicle that moves forward by propelling an object backwards.

"Our Webquests" - 0 views

This is a page of webquests from different elementary schools across the country, from what I can tell. They are organized by month, and vary in topic/subject. I clicked on several of them and they were really cool. I thought I would put this up here for the aspiring elementary school teachers in our class! Enjoy!

Mrs. Glosser's Math Webquests - 0 views

This is a site which is obviously started by a teacher in mathematics, she has several different examples of webquests on this site (one was pi day, which students can celebrate on march 14: 3/14). Great ideas and some of the topics were tagged "new" in bright yellow, so she obviously updates this webquest site from time to time.

Hajj from Northern Africa to Mecca - 2 views

My thought was to allow students to select a persona such as a wife of a merchant, a merchant, etc. and write a diary that discusses various topics as they progress on their Hajj. The year of this hajj is as of now undetermined. The grade level for this Webquest would be middle school.

Tuskegee Tradegy: A WebQuest Exploring The Powerful and their Victims" - 0 views

This webquest is interesting because it explores a recurring social issue "Instead of looking at the Tuskegee Study and saying, 'That was bad,' if we are to really learn from the experience and avoid things like it in the future, we must be clear about what made the Tuskegee Study so tragic. "
