Flash cards, vocabulary memorization, and study games | Quizlet - 1 views

This site is free and is a great study guide for basically anything. You can make your own test, quizzes, or flashcards, or make your own if you chose to do so.

This site claims to be the largest independent study site in the U.S. Extremely easy to use this is a great site to test yourself on the knowledge you have on almost any subject. This free tool uses a flash card system to educate you and multiple tests are available to test your knowledge. Students would love this aesthetically pleasing tool and it is very educational. I love the simple concept and the depth of information on this site. The amount and accuracy of the information is outstanding, and the great thing about it is that any age individual could enjoy this site.

Google Body Browser - 0 views

This is a demo website released by Google that is free to use and it gives a 360 degree view of the human body. Students can turn on layers to see bones, muscles, organs, and the nervous system. In addition, every time the student clicks on a body part, a label with the proper name of the body part appears. It is a great learning tool, but one problem that I found is that some web browsers such as Firefox do not seem to support the WebGL, which is a new standard for 3D on the web.

This is a free space exploration simulation program. It must be downloaded from the website and it runs on Mac, Windows, and Linux Operating Systems. Celestia provides the students with a satellite imagery and the students can zoom in on the earth, moons, the stars, and other planets, and have a great time learning more about space. The program is very easy to use and navigate. This free program is available in various languages to cater better to a larger pool of students.

ABCya! Learn the Skeletal System - Label the Bones - 0 views

  •
This is a free website that allows students to put together a human skeleton. It is easy to use and is visually appealing. It is an effective learning tool that students would enjoy using because it is a game. Although students label the bones of the body, there is no information about the bones. This would be an ideal game for students who are learning about the body (probably 4th grade and above). There is a contact page for user comments and questions on the abcya.com homepage.
