This website could be used in a geometry class, or an art class. This could be one activity that you could easily relate to geometry content, perhaps replacing the age-old project of stellated dodecahedrons.

PicArtia is an online application that gives you the opportunity to create your own photo mosaics for free. You can use your own photos or download others from the web. PicArtia is free to use, however you can order high quality versions as well. HIgh quality prints start at $3. You can create you photo albums "Photo Slideshow." You could create an album each year with all of the events that take place. It is nice because you can add audio and video captains.

This is a really easy, but very fun site to use. Students and adults can create picassoheads to use as icons and images for stories or in place of a virtual photo of themselves. In my district students' photos cannot be online.

MagToo is an image widget application and portal site which allows users to create slide shows with a unique magnifier tool, and immersive 360 degree panorama style shows. Furthermore, users can share these on social network sites (Facebook, MySpace, etc.), as well as create virtual "travelogues" on Google maps.

On the editing tab the options are very easy to use. Even I used then so they will be easy for students to use. Work you way down the tool bar from left to right and you will have a great picture

Very cool features once you get into the site. Contrast, exposure, flipping, cropping...all sorts of stuff This could be good for an lower grade level photo project or in a secondary class where you dont have a photoshop licenes.

FixUpMyPic is a web 2.0 tool that allows users to upload ordinary pics and have them "fixed" by a large professional staff. These pics are then sent back to the user, where they can be shared on any popular social network, personal blog or web site, or even printed and shared as gifts. This whole process is 100% free, and no registration is required.

this website looks like it takes the place of Imovie or Windows Movie Maker. Some of the videos or photos may not be 'x-rated' but probably arent a good idea for school

Virtual photo album that you can add captions, titles, notes, etc. Not as dynamic as the videos, but allows kids to draw/scan or pull from images from online.

Combine photos, videos, audio and text to create scrapbooks. This is really cool if you are into sharing pictures in a fun way. I don't enjoy scrapbooking because of the tedious cutting/pasting, but I think I would enjoy this because it is virtual. This would be great for students to use when doing biographies.

Mapness is an online travel journal that provides users with a place to share their travel/vacation experiences. Mapness gives users the opportunity to pinpoint places they've visited on an online map and add photos and/or videos easily. With Mapness, you can follow someones trip, track your own trip, or go back and view a trip you took previously.
