On the editing tab the options are very easy to use. Even I used then so they will be easy for students to use. Work you way down the tool bar from left to right and you will have a great picture

This whole process is 100% free, and no registration is required.
Three years ago, I scanned over 250 photos into my families computer to create a photo mosaic for my parent's wedding aniversary. This Web 2.0 application would have been helpful.
