26 Learning Games to Change the World | Mission to Learn - 0 views

  •
This would be great for some motivating ways to learn lots. As blogged by David Warlick "They are all serious games aimed at exposing students to some of the critical problems that face people around the world, including malaria, famine, nuclear proliferation, and congress (not a joke). One game, World Without Oil is about the first 32 weeks of a global oil crisis. It launches with the fictitious announcement that gas, at the pumps, now costs $4.00 a gallon."

10 Tips for Would-Be Podcasters - Lifehack.org - 0 views

  •
I started podcasting four months ago when I launched the first episode of Lifehack Live as part of Lifehack.org's podcast series. Although I'd been listening to podcasts for a couple of years already, and had some experience behind the deck in a recording studio (granted, it was 14 years ago), I really had no idea how to produce a podcast that people would want to listen to. (Some of you might say I still don't know how to do that….)

  •
San Francisco - CEO Microsoft, Steve Ballmer confirmed it will launch Windows 8 in 2012. This was later denied by Microsoft officials. "There seems to be a false statement. We welcome the latest generation of Windows 7 which will come in the next year," wrote Microsoft, told ZDNet (5/29/2011). "In the meantime, we have not issued a formal announcement linked the name and time of arrival of Windows next generation," he added. Ballmer also use the 'Windows 8 ' operating system. "You will hear a lot about Windows 8, whether it is tablet, PC or other variations," said Ballmer. Microsoft reportedly ready to bring the tablet version of the Windows operating system next week, in an event. Microsoft does not comment on rumors. Adata Launches XPG V2 DRAM with Redesigned Heatspreaders - 0 views

  •
Adata is clearly making a fashion statement with the redesigned heatspreaders it slapped onto its new XPG V2 series of DRAM products designed for 3rd Generation Intel Core processors and the Z87 platform. While beauty might be in the eye of the beholder, performance is in the hands of the designer and Adata's binning process. The new modules will come in dual-channel kits of 8GB and 16GB ranging in frequency from 1600MHz to 2800MHz. The highest frequency kits (8GB and 16GB DDR3-2800) will run at CL12-14-14-36 with 1.65V, while the rest are rated slightly tighter at CL11-13-13-35 at either 1.65V or 1.5V, depending on the kit.
