    Año 2003; el Mobile World Congress, que ni siquiera se llamaba así, era una feria con visos de gran crecimiento que aún se celebraba en Cannes. Por aquel entonces, una pequeña empresa española convocó a la prensa en un hotel de Madrid. Se llamaba Vida Software y al frente de la misma estaban Rafael del Valle, su fundador y un socio: Juan Campos.

    De lo que explicaron no mucha gente se enteró; demasiado técnico, tal vez; pero aquello prometía ser revolucionario: "interacción natural". Interacción natural de los usuarios con unos móviles Symbian a los que, a través de la voz, se les pedía que buscaran tal o cual página web, que nos diera los resultados de la Bolsa de aquella jornada, buscaran amigos para jugar on line o nos reportaran determinada información. Y lo que es mejor, lo hacían. Y hablábamos de C++ y de Java y Vodafone y Amena los escucharon y recibieron el premio NETI a la innovación y acudieron a Cannes y más tarde a Barcelona. Sin embargo, cuando hemos querido hablar con ellos para escribir este reportaje, ni siquiera su página web está activa. ¿Qué pasó? Lo desconocemos; suponemos que eran españoles.
    Y por qué nos hemos acordado de ellos, porque nosotros, vosotros y ellos, la industria y el mundo tiene que rendirse ante la enésima revolución de Apple: Siri.
    Y ¿qué es Siri? Pues seguro que nuestros lectores angloparlantes lo saben, pero, por desgracia se trata de un complejísimo programa que, a pesar de venir implementado en el iPhone 4S y de que probablemente estará disponible antes de fin de año, aún no está disponible ni para España, ni en español y que nos permite precisamente eso: interactuar de forma natural y a través de la voz, con nuestro teléfono móvil inteligente (nunca mejor dicho).
