    A host of sessions from this year's NECC 2008 conference are going to be live streamed via Mogolus, UStream.tv and other tools. If you can't make this year's conference (or if you want to double up on your learning while in San Antonio) plan to tune into these sessions. If you are going to be streaming out a session, please add it to the "TV Guide" below so people will be able to find it. Additionally, please send links to recordings of these presentations to e-mail@edstream.tv in order to have them added to the EdStreamTV channel (to the right) as well as the On Demand library.

  • The first instinct is thus to graft technology onto preexisting modes of behavior. Hence PowerPoint slides replace the overhead projector, and the learning or course management system attempts to simulate an in-person classroom

The Three-E Strategy for Overcoming Resistance to Technological Change If you just build it, they won't come-you need to shape users' behavior by acknowledging their world view rather than your own as a technology implementer

    Abstract: "This paper addresses current definitions of quality in online assessment and examines emerging expectations of what constitutes appropriate online assessment. A case study is presented of a Web-based assessment framework that is both interactive and product-oriented and involves learners in making contributions to course resources through learning activities. It is proposed that an interactive participatory model of assessment utilises the communicative features of technology while affording a motivating and authentic assessment experience."
