Using Nintendo DS in education? - 0 views

  •
I work at a school who are looking to use the Nintendo DS and some of the educational software with students to help boost things like basic literacy and numeracy skills. I am basically asking for help from anyone who has experience with this software or experience of using DSs in a school environment... What is the potential of this project? I would welcome any advice ranging from suitable software available to the logistics of looking after and charging a class set. ... Can feedback from a class set of DSs be sent to a teacher?

converging on Wordpress multi-user Published by sinclair at 3:32 pm under blogging, web2.0 With the decision to stop using Edublogs, I am left with the question of what to use instead. This isn't just a decision for hosting of my own blog, that's done and dusted now. The problem is that I am not sure where to point others who are looking for a blogging solution. In particular, I've been charged with providing blogging training after Easter for staff at my own school and will need to have something for these practical sessions

edonis methodology and EdD writings - 0 views

  • During the summer of 2008 I began work on my thesis. At this time, the working title was, “How are educators using the ‘social web’ to enhance teaching and learning, and their own professional development?” I started to develop a three-year, longitudinal study, entitled edonis (educators online impact study); setting out to have 100 participants by time of commencement at the start of November. The research would consist primarily of: fortnightly emailed questions; monthly online surveys via Survey Monkey; quarterly invited response to some stimulus; yearly extended discussion (online or face-to-face); and a face-to-face or online recorded interview.
