A great perspective about 0s on the 100 point scale.

Grades have always been a sour point for me. I truly dislike placing a numerical grade to any piece of work. But, I also disagree with giving students a passing grade for just putting their name on the paper and turning it it. What are your thoughts on this video?

Chris, Great little site for the middle school environment. The color scheme and graphics composed on the site make it really fun and the ease of the image buttons are great too. Lots of information for students at that age groups to explore.

This site also suggests an app for randomly picking students called PickSticks.

Use with Google Forms for easy grading and data analysis.

Flubaroo is a free tool that helps you quickly grade multiple-choice or fill-in-blank assignments. More than just a grading tool, Flubaroo also computes average assignment scores.

Sixth grade class uses Skype to communicate with author.

A second grade class created this wiki to share what they have learned. Each student had his/her own page on the wiki to share information about themselves, and the class collaborated to make pages about various subjects they learned about in class.

Here are two examples of using Voicethread to create digital and live Art anthologies.  These examples are from 7th and eighth grade.

This is another good use of a blog.  It's for second grade students and the student work has been taken down, but scope is great.  Exposing students to reflection and blogging at a young age is tremendous.  Hopefully, it starts a life-long journey of writing and reflective, critical, and creative thinking.

Great resource for storytelling and can be used at all grade levels. 

After placing students into one of two social network groups, this study finds that Twitter was more effective. One group used Ning to interact with lecturers and the other used Twitter. The Twitter group scored on average one grade higher than Ning users.

Great use of Twitter in a 3rd grade classroom. Students tweet concise summaries, but the class also follows discovery education on Twitter to stream videos that DE links to in it's Twitter posts. I love Twitter as both a discussion/summary forum and a resource for materials.

This Flat Classroom project brings together Grades 3-5 to explore similarities and differences in their lives and cultures. Using Edmodo, Wikispaces, VoiceThread, and other online multimedia tools, it helps students learn, connect, share, and create.

This was a great project introduce students to how to get an internship or full-time job using Klout scores. Students were able engage with other, via social media, and familiarize themselves regarding Klout scores. This was a very enjoyable project and the students were very enthusiastic about the project.

A great app for iOS devices that allows teachers to set up grade books. I use it to grade homework for completion simply by walking around the room with my ipad.

This is an excellent resource for technology integration at a variety of grade levels. There are 100's of videos of classroom lessons and ideas for you to explore and it is up-to-date, launched in February 2011. This tool was designed to help principals and teachers evaluate the levels of technology integration into the classroom.

This is a pretty neat tool for teachers. Might save some time and effort.
