    Gives a background on the development of CoP as well as a bio on the two developers of the theory - Jean Lave and Etienne Wenger. The author points out issues and implications that educators have with learners when abiding by this theory. For example, there being "an intimate connection between knowledge and activity" and educators needing to explore their learner's communities so that instruction is at its maximal potential.
