I see one way to create a unified system would be to move closer to ELEs (most of us have many of those in common) and or the teaching and learning resources (from WELES) even Instructional sites and Learning Sites...any thoughts..?
Jeremy, Thanks for getting us started on this! How about teacher resources? I don't know what to call it...but I am thinking something with rubrics, clip art, templates, etc. Ideas? General resources?
How about science news sites? (I think someone mentioned that)
Maybe animations/interactive sites?
We need to get enough tags (maybe 5 or 6?) that are broad enough we can each post 10 sites to
I like it! Do we want to add science fair/science skills/metrics? Is that something everyone can use? I think one of us is a math teacher but the rest are science.
I think I am the only math teacher so we should definitely go with whatever the majority can use. I really like the 5 mentioned by Jeremy and can use them. Could we include a tag for sites where students practice or apply what they have learned?
Maybe some sort of communication tag? This could include student wikis or message boards. The 8 listed seem really comprehensive to me. They are broad enough to include lots of different things but also different enough to be individual things. I am not sure what isn't covered.
Perhaps government sites including state and federal?
we can stop at 8; we just have to make sure we have no more than 10. Is there enough here that everyone can "donate" 10 of their sites to fleshing out our group list? (additional searching is ok)
What if we had "studentapplications," as a tag which would include student practice/skill demonstrations/wikis/discussion forums, etc as mentioned above for #6?
And I think assessment would be a separate category from teacher resources. Good addition Jonathan.
What if we put pedagogy items into prof. dev.? Then we could have projects as an 8th category.
Is there someone who wants to volunteer to post our "tags?" I won't be able to be able to get to it until tomorrow night. Let me know if you want me to do it then.

professionaldevelopment was mentioned by Patty.
I'm sure there are more posted elsewhere I did not catch.
