I came across this video and I loved the way it shows where glass technology is heading. Where do you think technology will take us in 10 to 15 years? How will it affect the classroom? Watch the video and let your imagination soar!

This video was awesome! Some of the concepts seem so far-fetched, but I believe anything is possible. I remember watching the "Jetsons" when I was little. I loved that they could talk to each other via the TV. Well, now we have Skype and Facetime and others in which we can do just that. I remember watching Mission Impossible years ago and being fascinated by the glass in which they manipulated all sorts of information. Then here comes the iPhone, iTouch, iPad that you navigate in the same way. I agree with Josie, we need to stay on top of all this technology, because ready or not, it is here and it is not going to slow down for us!

Wow! I remember watching Star Trek when I was young and feeling the same way as I watch this video. At first, I didn't understand the concept of glass technology until in the middle of the video. The only thing I can relate this is to the different apps on an smartphone or an Ipad. I found this very interesting and I think that in the classroom, it would surely enhance the learning experiences of students. However, I wonder if this technology ever was develop to the magnitude of the video, would it be assessible to all school districts or only the rich ones? For this reason, as teachers, we need to keep up with all the latest technology so that we won't be left out. Unfortunately, I will probably will be retired by this time. I only have about 7 years left before I can retire. LOL

I know it is hard to believe but the way technology is moving, it will soon be here. I remember seeing all those Science Fiction movies where they had tough screens and I remember thinking that might never happen and look at all the touch screen technology we have now.

I really enjoyed the video "Corning looks to the future...", I don't think we are too far from there. The greatest think I like about the futuristic glass is that it seems to have eliminated electronic parts and uses a bare minimum. Technology becomes obsolete overnight, leaving mounds of electronic carcasses. Cell phones, CPU's, clunky laptops, monitors, and a lot of these items have hazardous components. Glass is for the most part recycleable, so that make me content that there will be less debris in the environment. In ten to fifteen years we will probably be reminiscing about having an iPod, the way we look back on portable CD players or walkmans. The way that cars don't have cassette players anymore, they will not have cd players anymore.

I absolutely love the idea of this video. Technology is not far from there. It might look unreal now, but it will soon come. I remember when we used to dream of being able to make a phone call and see someone, now we have Skype, and Facetime! The things that we see in movies look impossible, but in due time we will really have those things.

Wow!! Amazing!! My 9 year-old daughter watched the video with me, and was so thrilled about it. She made reference to the Avatar movie. She wants an iPad, but now the iPad3 is the latest. This made me realize how technology is rapidly evolving. I do not doubt we are headed this road within the next 5-10 years. I remember when I began teaching in 2000 having a regular whiteboard was exciting. Then, around 2006 the wheeled smartboards were introduced I was ecstatic. Technology as we speak is non-stop; students are becoming more tech savvy; thus, expecting more interactive technologies in the classroom. As teachers, we must make every effort to keep with current and new technologies into the classroom while addressing online safety and netiquette skills.

WOW, Pedro! This video was amazing and just took my breath away! It is just incredible to see the potential technology has! I have seen some of those images already in movies, and movies that were introduced a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how specific I can get with the technology, but I can only be certain that technology will improve over time and become more and more innovative. It's fear of the unknown and exciting at the same time!

AMAZING!!!! The way they show the use of technology is great, but scary at the same time. I can see how useful this can be, but if we keep being so behind in most of the classrooms there will only be a few people who will be really prepared for this. I hope all of our children can have access to this amazing world.

I know it is Amazing and I do also agree that it is far fetched but I read somewhere that Gorilla Glass has several investers to help them with the Smart Glass technology. I have been trying to find the place I read that but have had no luck.

Wow Pedro!! The amazing thing is that this is where we are headed!! It is scary at the same time!

Scary? Maybe but I see it as exiting and if you noticed there was still a teacher in the classroom! Ha Ha the only thing is that the MTT have a better chance at the jobs becuause of our certifications and qualifications.

Did you all see all the glass technology used in the Avengers!!!! Did you all know that the phone Tony Stark used is actually a prototype phone by apple!!! Cool!!!

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Books, movies and video games set in the distant future have always displayed technology like this and I was always fascinated by it. I have always wanted a glass wall that I can touch and use it as a computer, T.V., screen etc. It always reminded me of Fahrenheit 451, the giant wall T.Vs they were said to have. I really like the the fact that students each had their own portable glass thing and were able to do so much with it. I think in the next 10-15 years we might have a small version of this, I hope have it all but you never know. I can defiantly see this as the future of where technology is heading and if not 15 year, I hope I live to see when ever it will happen.
