I found this site to be particularly helpful because I plan to teach middle grades social studies, and I believe 8th grade is NC history.  This is an entire textbook on the subject

This website helps instructors interact with students. Students can do homework and complete activities to help them learn material, while teachers can observe the completion of their work. The best part is that teachers can create the activities for the students to work on.

This website is an interactive website that can be used for elementary ages. It is very colorful, and informative. This could be used as a game, or as a study tool at home for kids. For each planet you click on, it gives you an informative paragraph along with a picture, great for learning and exploring!

I actually used this website in my MAT 141 class. It helped me understand many concepts I had trouble with. This website is so interactive that it allows pretty much any age to explore and learn about math. I personally love math and this website ended up helping me study for pretty much all my tests and quizzes. It is very useful in the classroom, and at home.

Learn Cursive - 1 views

  •
This website would be very useful for third grade teachers. Third grade teachers have to teach cursive, and this website has alot of pre-written worksheets that can be used as a basis for teaching cursive. Also, it shows catagories of letters that would be best taught together. This comes in handy when a teacher wants to make a weeks lesson plan in advance, and can relate all the lessons to one another. Also, it can be viewed by the students at home if necessary, for help outside of the classroom.

ABC's - 1 views

  •
This is a very good interactive website that helps kids learn their ABC's. It will be especially helpful to me because the kids I would like to work with function on a very young academic level, although their age range is anywhere from 13-30. This would really help because it is a very colorful website, and it allows kids to interact. I could think of MANY activities to do with this website.
