This website describes strategies for teaching English to children who struggle with English or who are just learning it. There is a good chance that every teacher will have at least one student who does not speak English, and it is important that we create an environment where they can learn as well.

I think this website is especially useful because not only does it show resources for different subjects, it also has information for Spanish, and RTI resources for special education teachers.

This site gives you great ideas of way to use technology in the classroom and to get the kids involved to make learning more fun for them. Not only does this site tell about how to use technology, but there are also lesson plans and other tools to help you teach.

I really just thought this was an interesting topic. I still really hate powerpoints and I just find them super boring unless the teacher spices them up with fun videos, cute graphics, instead of just the boring words on the screen type of feel!

ABCmouse.com is known for providing a comprehensive and engaging online curriculum that helps to greatly assist early learners to succeed in pre-k, kindergarten, and early elementary school programs. ABCmouse.com is subscription-based and does not have advertising, pop-up ads, or links to other sites.

Great resource and definitely worth the $40/year fee. This website pretty much does it all. It gives advice from veteran teachers, provides printables, and gives great ideas for lesson plans appropriate for each grade level

This is a site where you can download software pertaining to assessments. The site offers other items as well but it does contain educational assessments. There are links that will take you to other sites as well. It can be useful.

This is going to be one that we use a lot. Not only does it gives us the standards of study and curriculum in regards to NC but has employment, licensure, data and statistics. There is testing information such as AYP.

Scholastic really does have the whole package on their website. They offer so many different links from recourses and tools to books and authors. It is a great way to get ideas to keep your students focused and a great learning place for teachers to grow.

This website has many resources and tools for teachers.  Teachers can find lesson plans, teaching strategies, and student activities. You can even shop for books and other classroom supplies.

This site is full of downloads for clip art. One of the teachers I did an observation for showed me this website. It does cost money, but it's a cute idea to use for letters sent home to parents or to decorate the classroom!

This site does require membership, but it is worth it in my opinion! Everything is broken down into categories and its very easy to read. A lot of the projects/readings are directed towards everyday situations.
