M Daniela Novoa on 29 Mar 11Study findings indicate the importance of assisting novice teachers to acquire awareness and abilities in this area (ESOL planning) as a goal for second language teacher education. I like this study because it clearly shows how ESOL teachers must continually adapt to their students. They must remain flexible at all times. I believe that ESOL teachers are not all well prepared for the challenge of having such a diversity of students. However, if they followed some of the tactics that some of the teachers in the study use they can help their students succeed

Lauren Tripp on 29 Mar 11I know I wasn't prepared to help my ESOL students, and I was ESOL certified! It takes ongoing professional development, I think.
