A different perspective on the iPad.

The Apple iPad was just announced.  Make sure to watch the video to see its capabilities.  Not only can download books, but it also has a built in day planner that could eliminate the need for assignment books.  Where do you see the potential in education? 

An older article but the idea is still sound. This supports my idea that games must be introduced into the classroom. When the classroom is all work and no play, the students are not motivated to learn. If games are incorporated in an educational context and the student is given a key role, the student becomes highly motivated and invests huge amounts of time and energy because games require comprehension and mastery before advancing.

I really like this concept, teachers are now blogging. This is a huge thing among teenagers, they love to blog online about their lives and so on. Teachers use blogs as a way of informing parents what is going on in the classroom. The teachers also use blogs as a way to add extra information, give students who were ill their missed assignments, and even help students learn from home.

Since Chapter 3 talks about using instructional software, this man, Bill Mackenty, talks about how important it is to use games to help students learn.
