Education Oasis - 0 views

  •
Education Oasis is geared towards instructional design; therefore it's essentially a one stop shop for creating instruction. The site has 58 different graphic organizers to choose from. Not only does the site contain information on creating graphic organizers, this site also can assist with per training and assessment activities. Instead of having to surf the Web for different sites to create one presentation, Education Oasis has more than enough information to help organize any type of educational presentation.

Enchanted Learning - 1 views

Enchanted Learning is an online curriculum warehouse. With over 25,000 links to different Web pages, this site can also be a great guide in exploring all your educational design needs. Enchanted Learning also contains a wide array of graphic organizers to incorporate into a multimedia presentation. The site is a little busy in its design, but I think the amount of useful material that is connected to this site is well worth the visit

This site works well for helping you to create material for essential or generative learning, because you can develop the content of your presentations onlime and make changes as necessary to fit the learning needs of your participants. The zoho show features are very similiar to those of PowerPoint, it is great for when you may not have access to PowerPoint.

Georgia Performance Standards - 0 views

  •
This is the best resource for authentic assessment activities for my multimedia workshop. Teachers that participate in my workshop will have to be able to utilize the performance standards from GA and incorporate some of the authentic assessments from those standards. This site is a good resource for all of my teachers.

This website provides ways to and justifications for incorporating authentic assessments into the classroom environment. It provides examples of traditional assessments and provides examples of what an authentic assessement would look like. In addition, it provides ideas for implementing authentic assessments and guidelines for genterating them. This site would be useful to teachers that are new to incorporating authentic assessments within the classroom.

Elluminate Live allows teachers/students to work in synchronous and asynchronous environments. It also allows teachers to create interactive learning opportunities by utilizing a SmartBoard or ActivBoard. The only problem is that you have to purchase a subscription to the software, but you can use a 30 day free trial to create the presentation.

Jeopardy Game - 0 views

  •
Jeopardy Labs provides a web-based jeopardy game template for users to create or browse others' created games for use in the classroom. This is a must for alternate assessment activities, and one which I enjoy using especially in preparation for state-mandated tests.

This website offers a variety of graphic organizers that can be implemented into the classroom. There are pre-made organizers and blank templates that can be used. These graphic organizers can be implemented in all content areas.
  •
Teacher Vision is a good site to print off graphic organizers that are already created. It allows teachers to focus the type of graphic organizer to the age level of their students. This will be helpful because I am dealing with teachers that teach grade levels K-5 and students' with special needs.

Camtasia Studio - 0 views

Camtasia Studio offers a free 30 day trial, but purchasing is so worth it! This program from TechSmith allows the user to edit video and capture screen images. As a video editing program, the user can incorporate video, audio, images, stills, in a user-friendly medium. This program is easier to use than most, which is why I choose this as best of its kind.

Camtasia allows you to create interactive videos easily. The most alluring factor of this site is the fact that "… you can create interactive training and support videos that are on-demand for instant viewing. Screencasts are quick, easy, and inexpensive to produce. They're perfect for rolling out new software, orienting new staff, showing customers how to use your product, or establishing a "self-help" desk" (Camtasia, 2011).

Learning Styles Survey - 0 views

  •
Students can use this survey to help to identify themselves as a learner. Especially great for teachers who seldom occupy the role as student! I like this tool especially for its simplicity; with only 27 questions, users get information on learning styles based on their results from the survey.
