This is a great resource for teachers. It offers videos, docs, audio, photos, channels, blogs, etc. that teachers can share. Videos can be uploaded and downloaded to share with other teachers. I think this will be a very useful and effective way to share presentations in my workshop.

Users are able to create and share media presentations. Additionally, they are able to upload previously created PowerPoint presentations for editing and sharing. I chose this site because it is free and easy to use.

Empressr (http://www.empressr.com) is similar to Prezi in that it allows its users to create interactive presentations. Empressr goes further and not only allows for its users to upload pictures and text to their presentation they can also add video. The presentation storage and creation is free. The user can determine if the presentation will be made available to the public or they will keep it for their use only. The software offers any number of transitions to make for a more engaging presentation. The user can change the font's size and style. It is created online so the only thing the user needs is internet access.

Description: This is an easy to learn tool for creating online presentations. Users can incorporate audio, video, graphics and text into the presentation. It is free to use. Explanation: Due to the ease of use and ability to upload graphics and video, this tool is perfect for creating multi-media presentations. It is preferred to many other online tools because it is free and easy to learn.

Slideshare allows users to share their slides regardless of program installation. It also allows the user to edit slides in the spirit of connectivism. The option for embedding slides is easy and useful when helping students transfer knowledge. Slideshare allows students to receive feedback from others which in turn will help their senior project presentation.

Whiteboard is a tool that allows users to collaborate on the creation of documents. One user can create a whiteboard and upload an original piece of text. They can then invite other users to come to that whiteboard to help revise that text. In my workshop in particular, since the assessment activity is the creation of a group lesson plan using one of the Web 2.0 tools I share with them, Whiteboard can be used by participants to collaboratively create the lesson plan. 

Quizlet is a site that allows learners to create online flashcards. Teachers can create sets to share with their learners, or learners can create their own. Some of the best features of Quizlet are the cost (free), capability of adding images to flashcards, and the fun factor. Quizlet creates games using the flashcards creating by the user, allowing learners study vocabulary in a more engaging manner. It can be used for essential learning by providing learners with key terms prior to the lesson. This knowledge will allow learners to focus their attention and working memory on the content, rather than the new terms. This site is better than other similar sites I have found and used because it is easy to use and provides options that other sites do not have, like uploading images.

This site provides a simple way to create learning tools that let you study anything, for free. You can also share what you create or use resources others have shared.

DIGI[cation] is a media friendly customizable e-Portfolio creation tool with easy to use templates. This tool allows commenting and downloading too. Not only can you publish your work and ideas, but also you can showcase development in learning while sharing. Use this to record your goals and document your progress while creating a positive online representation of yourself. Development of an e-portfolio leads toward generative learning through reflective knowledge building.

Consider this a storytelling presentation tool with powers. Haiku Deck takes your ideas and helps make them look professional. It brings focus to your presentation by delivering the message you dream up. Make design selections form millions of Creative Commons options and customize with a range of fonts, layouts, and image effects. "Death by Bullet Points" is no longer allowed as Haiku Deck limits your text on each slide. Sharing is easy through Facebook, Twitter, and email. These can be viewed on any mobile device as well. Set your essential learning free to inspire others.

Exploratree provides a free online library of thinking guides to help users graphically organize their collected information. It is a product of Microsoft from their futurelab development team. You can print these forms out or use them collaboratively online. Customization is also an option with text, images, and shapes. Consider submitting a template to the site for others. This website offers group essential knowledge sharing toward generative learning.

This service allows you to create video slideshows similar to other video tools but with the added ease of drag and drop capability. Feel free to move your sequence around to your liking, and add text to the images. One sticking point is the offering of only a single soundtrack, no choice unless you upload your own music too. You can incorporate more than one audio import to your creation. Stupeflix is an essential learning tool for sharing information.

This video creation tool allows users to use their own videos and photos combined with Masher's library of video clips from BBC Motion Gallery adding special effects to traditional slide show information sharing. You can add words and music along with rips and curls to keep attention on your content. Unlike many downloaded applications such as iMovie and MovieMaker, this is all free, online, and instantly shareable via Facebook, My Space, email, and more. Build up your essential learning information simply by jazzing it using Masher.

Brainshark allows instructors and students to create presentations that include collaboration, audio, and animation. It allows for active commenting which means it can be utilized for either essential or generative learning needs. I like Brainshark because it is extendable, easily shared, built in the cloud, and has user levels ranging from free to pro based upon your needs.

A script to give teachers the ability to auto-generate, pre-share, and manage grading and feedback on templated Docs for group and individual projects.

* Brief Description: CutePDF allows you to turn documents into pdfs through the print feature in any program on your computer.     * Brief Explanation: It is very easy for me to turn word documents that I have created as handouts into pdfs to share online.  

This site provides a video tutorial on how to create a Gmail account. It is essential learning for workshop participants who will be expected to participate in Google shared documents throughout the workshop activities. The tutorial fosters generative processing since it incorporates both verbal and pictorial directions.

Camtasia is a screen capturing and editing tool, allowing users to create interactive videos, tutorials and presentations. The site includes an overview videos, as well as free online tutorials. They are great for essential and generative learning, as they facilitate a better understanding of how to use the tool and help reduce essential cognitive load. This tool is an exceptional one for creating multimedia materials and presentations.

* Brief Description: Camtasia is a screen recording and video editing software that allows for a high quality of screen recording and the ability to add special effects and edit.  You can also add in other media and share high-quality videos with others.     * Brief Explanation: It is user friendly and gives you the ability to add audio recorded through Audacity.  I also appreciate the high quality videos it produces.    

Another tool for creating videos. This is very simple and easy to use. They do charge, but when I contacted them and said I was a teacher, they upgraded my free version to a paid version and did not charge me anything. This gave me the ability to make longer videos and more of them. Easy to share as an embedded file on a website, or through YouTube, and through mobile devices as well.

This is the presentation wiki for my 7107 multimedia workshop.

Anymeeting will be used by my participants to communicate with each other and create a presentation training presentation. The software gives the participants the power to share information with each other. Anymeeting was chosen because of the features offered and because it is free.

Microsoft's Office 365 is offered free for schools and allows teachers and students to collaborate in innovative ways.  The program comes bundled with email, instant messaging, video conferencing, calendar and document sharing along with virtual storage. Learners can use Microsoft's Office 365 to collaborate asynchronously on group projects using SharePoint to promote knowledge construction and find meaning as they solve problems. Since Microsoft's Office 365 promotes active learning, I will use this program as one of the three artifacts for my multimedia workshop on flipped classroom instruction.
